Asus Tek unveils the “Eee Pad”

The Apple iPad has bestowed upon the tablet the aura of respectability it sorely needed. And manufacturers are rushing to stake their claims. Taiwanese company Asus Tek, of the Eee PC fame, has introduced their tablet computer running on a Microsoft’s Windows 7 OS.
AsusTek’s Eee Pad tablet comes in 10- and 12-inch sizes and is set to go on sale in the first quarter of 2011. In addition to full Windows support, the Eee Pad is equipped with a Web camera and runs Flash.
The 10-inch Eee Pad will sell for $399 to $449.
