According to Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam, Verizon Wireless and Google are working on a tablet computer that will take on the Apple iPad. But Google is mum on the project. Oops.

Executives have been known to misunderstand technology and a Google spokesman simply said that anyone can use the company’s mobile software to create phones and other devices.
