Restaurant uses iPad as… Menu
Well, this is not something to really cheer about. The “magical” iPad is being served at a restaurant as a lowly pick your item menu. Ummm. “Waiter, I’ll just have the iPad and pass on dinner. Check, please!”
The owners of the the Global Mundo Tapas eatery at the Rydges Hotel in North Sydney are simply taking advantage of the novelty factor and I’ll bet many people are going there just to get a chance to try out the device. As such, it’s a great marketing ploy. But at US $499 a piece, that’s one expensive menu [and marketing ploy] that is soon going to get all sticky, covered in gravy, wine, ketchup and other yummy food items.
If you see lots of iPad suddenly available from a certain Australian address on eBay, now you know why.
